We are excited to offer a special day of nature and wellness for families with children of all ages and abilities. Adult community members are welcome to this Sangha Education Center event, too! Come participate in various activities demonstrating our Nature & Wellness Connections program options. The health benefits of reconnecting our children (and ourselves!) to nature has become more evident in recent years, yet is something we innately know. Rediscover that we are nature… while we learn and grow together on the Jericho Preserve.
All are welcome to take part in “Yoga Mountain Story” where we will enact the story of saving the environment through yoga poses guided by a narrator. We offer an array of nature art opportunities in stations run by our wonderful Sangha Staff, and a glimpse into Forest Bathing Meditative Nature Exploration on the premises around Historic Malcolm House by Certified Nature Therapy Guide, Stephanie Gaglione. There will be a longer nature walk option to our Meadow Farm as well!
Regular participation in Forest Bathing can reduce stress, improve memory and focus, bolster immune system response, lead to better sleep, and an overall sense of well-being. Reap the benefits by participating in this community event! And feel free to return for our regular Nature & Wellness Connections sessions each season.
Stay tuned for a SPECIAL COMMUNITY PARTNER GUEST COLLABORATION! This is in the planning stages… When working on behalf of one another, we all flourish!
