Join author and Long Island native, Stacy Davidowitz, for a LIVE creative role-play and storytelling journey at Sangha Education Center! During this workshop, participants will be introduced to her newest book, The Chance to Fly, co-written with Tony Award-winning actress, Ali Stroker.
Stacy will introduce herself as a theatre artist and author, provide an overview of The Chance to Fly, and describe who Ali Stroker is and why they chose to collaborate. A copy of the book will be provided. And Stacy would be happy to sign your copy!
The workshop will begin with a theatre warmup, creative role-play and exercises with focus on the themes: a recall of firsts, dreaming big, finding solutions, and how obstacles can become opportunities. Imagine how it feels to work with others who lift you up? Participants will work together to create and enact storytelling tales through a series of images, poems, song lyrics and other methods.
The session will conclude with a share-out and Q&A. We are excited to have Stacy with us to share her message and experience which correlates with Sangha’s philosophy or Different Abilities Development Model and our goal to help everyone “find and follow your bliss!”
