PM – Nature’s Personality Types
Farmer Regina will offer a presentation about Pollinator Pathways then planting a pesticide-free corridor with native plants that provide nutrition and habitat for insects and birds in our Meadow Farm. The workshop will be followed by a Nature’s Power and Personality Types activity where the power of the diversity in nature and our human nature will become apparent teaching us insights about ourselves with media and pollinator garden art components.
Wednesday, 7/12:

PM – Singing Bowl Sound Healing
Forest Bathing with Stephanie Gaglione, Certified Nature Therapy Guide includes ways in which to explore nature through a range of invitations and enjoyable sensory experiences to minimize anxiety and attain various health benefits. Awareness is the key to mindfulness practices and we will continue the journey in the afternoon with Reiki Master, Brenda Hohner and Singing Bowl Sound Healing experiences with hands-on education and wellness activities.
Friday, 7/14:
AM – Sea Turtle Touch and Talk
PM – Woodworking Wonders
We are excited to, once again, have The WaterFront Center of Oyster Bay join us for a marine life session about various turtle species. Live turtle, shell, and skeletal forms will be studied. The life cycle of turtles will be discussed and questions answered. This activity will be followed by Woodworking Wonders with Carpenter Malcolm Hall to build a bench for our Kindness Garden and a surprise wood-working wonder of your own to build with our tools and take home.
If needed, raindates are scheduled at the end of the season, Wednesday, 8/9 and/or Friday, 8/11.

During this 4-week summer program, teens and young adults with a range of abilities (in middle, high school, college and the workplace) are introduced to a sampling of hands-on, heart-centered nature and wellness inclusive community classes across various topic areas and creative outlets. Games and team-building, too! Guided by our teachers, farmers, peer-mentors and community partners, participants come together for outdoor educational experiences, to enjoy camaraderie and minimize anxiety. Learn what diversity in nature has to teach through the exploration and discovery of plants, animals, land and water in our Long Island “learnscape”, connecting us as kin. Something for everyone!
