WE ARE WORKING ON A RAINDATE – STAY TUNED!
Our Project Stewardship young adult group will enjoy a boat trip with an Operation Splash captain and crew to clean the South Shore Bay inlets. This volunteer-based organization is dedicated to improving the quality of Long Island’s South Shore bays, waterways, and beaches. Members actively carry out this mission through marine debris cleanups, advocacy efforts, and STEM-based education programs for schools and universities.
Since its founding in 1990, Operation Splash members have removed more than three million pounds of trash from local waters and their work has influenced environmental legislation aimed at improving marine environments. Through intentional action and advocacy, Operation Splash believes that the South Shore can be preserved for wildlife and Long Islander’s alike to enjoy for generations to come. Join us for this day of service, nature, and fun!
Please arrive 12:30/12:45pm as we will begin with a brief presentation in the Operation Splash office at 1:00pm sharp. We will then proceed to our boat outing.
