We are excited to embark on an outing with our Project Stewardship young adult group to the Nassau County Museum of Art to visit the exhibit: Songs without Words – The Art of Music.
As posted in the museum description, the never-ending dance of art and music crosses cultures and millennia. We will view masterpieces of art as well as vintage musical instruments and musical sculptures! It includes art from ancient times in Asia and Africa and European Old Masters down through the decades to the present. Artists include Renoir, Chagall and Mattisse as well as contemporary artists for whom music was a constant source of inspiration. And, fun memorabilia showcasing rock, jazz and Broadway as well as original musical scores and manuscripts inscribed by the hands of great performers and composers.
We will also have the opportunity to walk the grounds and see outdoor sculptures. Bring snack and drink. And, if interested, money for the gift shop! ADMISSION FEE: $5 (Students with ID) or $15 (Adults).
