Lego Collaborative
June 7 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

During our monthly Lego Collaborative guided by Lego Master, Brian, teens & young adults work in teams and small groups with various Lego sets and classic Lego bricks for education and creative expression related to our program themes of Nature, History & the Arts. Lego building and games are structured ways in which to build skills in an inclusive community setting. Lego outings are scheduled once per season, to extend the learning!
Take part in rotating roles for shared skill-building such as engineers– guiding instruction, suppliers– locating brick parts, and builders– assembling the model according to directions. Collaborative Lego construction has been recognized to… build problem-solving skills, improve confidence, enable joint attention, strengthen motor planning skills, and reduce anxiety.
