Decorative Post Painting and Carpentry Arts

We are grateful to have our friend, Malcolm Hall, work with our Project Stewardship teens and young adults with a range of abilities to embark on a new carpentry project, making a gate for our Kindness Garden. We will organize in stations… Something for everyone!

One station will be to learn how to measure, use tools, cut, sand, and organize wood pieces in addition to adding chicken wire, hinges, and a latch to make the garden gate. Another station will be available to sand, paint and decorate posts with colorful designs for the Meadow Farm and/or to take home. Participants may view different design option samples from which to borrow ideas or make their own custom creations.

Enjoy these hands-on experiences for all skill levels as young people spend time socializing with others. Refreshments served.
