21st Century Digital Reading & Writing Tools – Session 1
October 13 @ 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
Join us for a 2-part workshop series w/Chava Blitzer, Assistive Technology specialist, who will teach attendees about the Don Johnston’s Chrome-based apps, Snap & Read and Co-Writer Universal.
Our two 90-minute workshops will provide detailed instructions on how to set-up and utilize these applications when we read, write, and navigate through the myriad amount of text. We will cover the features, how to access outline templates and automatically generate reference pages for papers! This workshop session is open to high school and college students, parents and professionals to gain insight into tools and techniques that can improve reading, writing and related skills. Both tools work together to elevate ability level and production methods.
During Spring 2022, we will build on these two sessions with small group, 8-week training to develop reading, writing, planning and organizational skills through Self-Regulated Strategy Development (SRSD). Individual sessions may also be scheduled. Contact us to learn more and reserve a seat!
