Through Start Your Own School Garden, we encourage students to become new “stewards” for Earth while cultivating physical and social-emotional well-being in the process. Reconnecting students to these time-honored practices, they begin to understand their part in our interrelated living environment. We provide garden design, planning and consulting services and assist with the sourcing of materials towards the construction of garden beds including securing soil and seeds by way of organic farms and supply vendors. Hands-on educational learning sessions for students are part of our initial package: Seed Starts, Nature Communities, and Compost & Worms in workshop or assembly format. A “Train the Trainer” workshop for internal school garden program sustainability is available. Training may be customized to integrate with various curriculum areas.
