Sweetbriar Nature Center provides natural science education for Long Island residents of all ages and engages in native wildlife rehabilitation services. Our Project Stewardship teen and young adult group is excited to return to Sweetbriar for this SPECIAL EVENT… Annual Butterfly and Bird Festival and the seasonal opening of the Butterfly Vivarium. The day will be filled with wildlife presentations, craft vendors, food trucks, musical performances, and more!
NOTE: This is an extended day outing for May and June combined (double time w/adjusted fee). If you prefer to come for two hours, instead of four, you may register at the regular two-hour Project Stewardship event fee via our donation page.
Those registering with Sangha will have their names on the Sweetbriar attendance list. Simply provide your name as you enter and let Sweetbriar staff know you are with Sangha Education Center. We will have a table in the backyard area (which will be our meet-up place). Please come to our table when you arrive to gather and then participate in the event together.
We will have time for a nature walk on this 54-acre property of gardens, meadows, woodlands and wetland habitats along the Nissequogue River where hundreds of species of plants and animals make their homes. Join us!
If you are already a member of our Project Stewardship program, please register using the “Member” registration below. If you would like to become a member, please add both the “Project Stewardship Program” and “Member” registration to your cart. If you would simply like to join us for a single session, please purchase the “Standard” registration below. You can then add additional sessions to your cart.
When registering for this event, a required admission fee of $10 (including entrance to the Butterfly Vivarium) will automatically be added to your cart.
