Our Project Stewardship teen and young adult group will embark on a local history journey at nearby Raynham Hall Museum, home of the Townsend family and those enslaved there during the Revolutionary War. Some were involved in George Washington’s Culper Spy Ring. We will view the exhibit hall, be guided through this historic home and provided with details of daily life there during the 18th and 19th centuries (1:00-2:30pm).
Raynham Hall and those living there were connected to Historic Malcolm House, the location of our Sangha Education Center on the Jericho Preserve. We can discuss some of this history following the tour as we have a snack at a local eatery (2:30-3:30pm). All are welcome to join us!
