Teens and young adults in our various programs have been working on a totem pole carpentry project over the last three years with the guidance of our community partner, Malcolm Hall. This beautiful totem pole has now been installed at our Meadow Farm.
We will have a celebratory day at the Meadow with garden and Native American-inspired arts & crafts activities, old fashioned games such as the egg race, and setting up the area to showcase our totem pole!
This fun-filled day celebrates the efforts of our young people as we reflect on native arts designed and built by our ancestor. Thinking about the animals from our area, we will refer to animal totem cards and give thanks for their contributions to the natural world all around us.
