Our Project Stewardship young adult group will be partnering with Friends of the Bay to participate with people around the globe for Ocean Conservancy’s International Coastal Clean-Up. During this outing our young people and others will work together to clean-up the beach area along the North Shore between Oyster Bay and Cold Spring Harbor. We will contribute to positive environmental impact and the protection of wildlife who often ingest the plastics found on the beaches and in our waters. Those interested can complete data sheets to provide insights on debris findings to Ocean Conservancy. We are grateful to Friends of the Bay for visiting with us this summer and are happy to collaborate. Participants may bring water, snack and sunblock. You may also bring a towel and/or beach chair, if you would like.
We will meet at Stehli Beach (see below). Please contact Christine Keller’s cell at 516-384-9205 if you have difficulty finding the beach.
