Our Project Stewardship young adult group will embark on an outing to Parrots of the World where owner, Mark Morrone has been importing birds, mammals and reptiles from Central and South America, Africa and Indonesia since 1978. In time, Mark began breeding birds and working with bird breeders in the United States. Now a large portion of their business is to export birds, mammals and reptiles born here to other countries in the world such as far away as Japan, Chile and Denmark as pets for people to enjoy. We will explore this wonderful “pet shop” and meet Mark. The outing will be followed by refreshments at Sugarberry, a bakery/coffee shop that is two doors down. Parents should drop off at Parrots of the World and pick up at Sugarberry (there is parking and an entrance in back, if needed).
