Sangha Education Center has expanded our Nature & Wellness Connections curriculum where we provide Forest Bathing Meditative Nature Exploration and Learn & Grow sessions around Historic Malcolm House and our Meadow Farm, with NEW Nature Art Respite opportunities for families with younger children, teens & young adults, and adult community members. Schools and community groups are welcome, too (see School Programs). These hands-on nature education and wellness experiences are offered for different ages, abilities, and learning styles, enhancing academic knowledge, embracing creativity and enabling calm and connection. There is something for everyone!
In addition to the Nature & Wellness Connections options above, young people in middle, high school, college, and the workplace are invited to join us for Summer at the Sangha, our four-week summer program. Come participate in creative learning workshops, activities, and organic experiences that develop as we are together at Malcolm House and our adjoining Meadow Farm. Outdoor education supports the “whole-learner”, enabling individuals to gain a closer connection with the themselves, others and the natural world in alignment with our philosophy, mission and overall program offering. We also hold Meadow Farm Volunteer Days where the community can contribute, learn and grow together! Contact us for details!
Our programs bring community together towards improving our overall health and enabling a sense of well-being through a broad range of holistic experiences and strategies. Nature is naturally therapeutic! Let us reconnect with one another and the natural world, while developing new stewards for Earth.
Educators, farmers, and community partners work together to teach and facilitate our programs. In addition to community programs, we offer Sangha School Programs and those for local groups at Malcolm House on the Jericho Preserve. We begin with Nature & Wellness Connections and will be introducing Long Island History in Your Own Backyard in the near future! Additionally, we continue to assist Long Island schools via Start Your Own School Garden.
