SUMMARY:2023 Diversity Summit
DESCRIPTION:Advocating\, Celebrating\, Educating! Women’s Diversity Network will hold its sixth annual Summit. This day-long event will include workshops\, panels\, and presentations on a variety of diversity-related topics. Throughout the day\, there will also be multicultural performances as well as a luncheon that reflects the diversity of the day. Registration and Breakfast start at 8:00am. Sangha Education Center will have a table for our non-profit. \n\n\n\nOur Project Stewardship young adult program participants will be involved in a range volunteer opportunities\, guided by interns and mentors to work on skills-building in this community setting and educational event. We will have the opportunity to participate in workshops and enjoy the day together.  \n\n\n\n\n\nRegister\n\n\n\nYoung people can take-part for two-hours or for the whole day\, registering through the Sangha event registration link below (or our seasonal membership).  \n\n\n\nIf you are already a member of our Project Stewardship program\, please register using the “Member” registration below. If you would like to become a member\, please add both the “Project Stewardship Program” and “Member” registration to your cart. If you would simply like to join us for a single session\, please purchase the “Standard” registration below. SUMMARY:Women's Diversity 5th Annual Summit
DESCRIPTION:Sangha Education Center is a community partner and leadership member of the Women’s Diversity Network (WDN). It all began in 2017 with preparation for the First Annual WDN Summit (2018).  \n\n\n\nThis year\, the event will be VIRTUAL. Experience the beauty of diverse cultures through entertainment and learn from some of the best leaders on Long Island by participating in powerful workshops that will help you to develop your advocacy skills\, explore issues marginalized communities face\, focus on self-care\, and also youth workshops. A conversation about what we need from candidates who run for office will take place. More workshops to be listed soon. And\, an In-Person Cocktail Hour follows from 5-8pm at Hofstra University. Join WDN for one or both!The Women’s Diversity Network (WDN) aka WDN Resource Center connects and mobilizes women of different backgrounds to create positive change through collective work and a unified sisterhood in collaboration with allies.
